Have your Windows 8 stopped recognising USB devices?
After the launch of Windows 8, there were some programs that causes trouble to the users such as incompatibility, errors. Similar is the case with the VMware when using it on Windows 8.
When VMware workstation is installed, windows stop recognising USB devices such as flash drives and mouse/keyboard.
A simple solution exists for this problem. You just have to stop a service that is preventing Windows from recognising USBs.
Go to Services > Stop VMware usb arbitration service > Done
